Registering for Events with Kindertales

Learn how to browse, register, and manage your child’s participation in events using the Kindertales Events platform, tailored for your family.

Accessing the Kindertales Events Platform

Your childcare provider will provide you with a link to access the Kindertales Events platform. This link may be shared:

  • On the childcare provider’s website
  • Via email or message directly to you

The Kindertales Events platform is not accessible directly through the main Kindertales app or website.


Signing Up for an Account

If you don’t already have a Kindertales account, you’ll need to create one:

  1. Click Sign Up and enter your personal details.
  2. Create a password.
  3. Add your child by clicking Add Child, filling out their information, and clicking Save.

If you already have a Kindertales account, simply log in with your credentials.

Navigating the Events Platform

When you open the link, you’ll see:

  • Company Name: At the top of the page, you’ll see the name of your childcare provider. This confirms you’re in the right place to browse events hosted by their organization.

  • Event Groups: On the left-hand side, you’ll find categories called Event Groups, such as "All Events" or specific group names like "Summer Camp Series" or "Weekend Workshops." These groups are created by your childcare provider to make it easier for you to find events that meet your needs. For example, you might see groups organized by age range, program type, or time of year.

    • When you click on an event group, you’ll see:

      • A banner image that represents the group
      • The event group’s name and its associated location
      • A brief description of the types of events included in the group
  • Child Selector: At the top of the page, you’ll see a list of your children’s names. This allows you to toggle between children to view events they are eligible for.

    • Events are automatically filtered by age eligibility, so you’ll only see programs that are appropriate for the selected child.

    • Switching between children ensures you can manage their individual event schedules with ease.

Viewing Event Cards

Within each event group, individual events are displayed as Event Cards. These cards are designed to give you a quick overview of the most important details for each event, making it easier to compare your options and find the right fit for your child.

Here’s what each event card includes:

  • Event Name: A concise title summarizing the event
  • Event Dates: The start and end dates, helping you quickly see if the event fits your schedule
  • Short Description: A brief summary to help you understand what the event is about at a glance. Click the description to see the full details if you’re interested

    If an event catches your eye, click on its Short Description to quickly peek its Full Description.

  • Remaining Spots: A real-time count of how many spaces are still available, so you know if you need to act quickly
  • Registration Status: Clearly indicates whether you can sign up now (Open), the event is no longer available (Closed), or if you can join a Waitlist

Discovering Event Details

When you click on an event card, you’ll be taken to a detailed event page that provides all the key information you need:

  • Event Images: Up to five photos give you a clear sense of what the event offers, whether it’s fun activities, educational sessions, or creative workshops.
  • Full Description: A complete overview of the event, including what your child can expect and any special features or focus areas.
  • Key Details: Easily find important information, such as:
    • Event dates and times
    • Registration opening and closing dates
    • The age range the event is designed for
    • For recurring events, the next available date to register (may not be visible on all events)
  • Childcare Center Contact Information: Includes the provider’s website, phone number, email, and address for quick access if you have questions or need assistance.
  • Pricing Tiers and Options: See the cost breakdown for the event. This where you will add your chosen pricing tier to the cart.
  • Use the Share button if you want to share it with friends or family.

This page is designed to make it easy for you to understand the event, explore your options, and feel confident about signing up.


Registering for Events

Once you’ve chosen an event, registering is straightforward:

  1. Add Events to Your Cart:

    • For some events, you can select specific days your child will attend.
    • Others are added to your cart immediately.
  2. Review Your Cart:

    • Check the details of the events you’ve selected.
    • Apply any available discounts, like paid-in-full savings or coupon codes.
    • Confirm and acknowledge any necessary terms.
  3. Complete Checkout:
    Finish the process with a few clicks. After checkout, you’ll receive a confirmation email with details about your registration and any next steps.

Managing Your Event Registration

After completing registration, you’ll receive a welcome email. This email includes instructions for completing additional enrollment steps through Kindertales.
